The future isn't your website. It's MCP
Your customers already ask Claude or ChatGPT about everything. If your business isn't connected there, to them it doesn't exist. Here's how I built it on my own site.
For twenty years the rule was simple: if your business doesn't have a website, it doesn't exist. We built pages so a person could come in, find the menu, click the button and fill out a form.
That is changing faster than it looks. More and more people don't visit any website at all: they ask Claude or ChatGPT. And the assistant answers with what it can read and what it can use.
What MCP is, without the jargon
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard for connecting an AI model to any system: an API, a database, a Python function. The point is that the assistant people already use every day doesn't just talk about your business, it can actually do things with it: look things up, calculate, book, deliver.
If the website is the shop window, MCP is the counter.
How I built it on my own site
I didn't want to have an opinion about something I hadn't built, so I tried it on myself first. My site runs an MCP server in production. Anyone can add it as a connector in Claude or ChatGPT with this URL:
https://www.jeremiasdavison.com/api/mcp
From there:
- A prospect asks their assistant what I do, and the answer comes from my real information, not from what the model imagines.
- They see my availability and book a call without leaving the chat.
- They can request a diagnosis or leave me a message.
- A client with an ongoing project enters their code to check its status, see the deliverables and upload documents. No website, and no WhatsApp message asking how it's going.
And it's not just for me. For a real estate developer I built two tools that return the CAC construction index and calculate the adjusted installment for a unit. Anyone with the connector asks Claude how much installment 18 of their apartment is this month, and gets the real, validated figure from the Chamber.
Why almost nobody sees it
In Latin America especially, AI is still for writing emails. Or as a therapist. Very few people use it to connect their business.
Meanwhile, companies keep investing in redesigning their website, while their customers are already asking somewhere else.
The real problem isn't technical. A basic MCP server takes days, not months. The problem is that AI is still seen as a tool for the internal team, not as a channel customers come through.
What you do need to get right from day one is security: what each person can see and what they can touch. I wrote about it in MCP without security is a map you hand to whoever finds it.
My prediction
In two years, a company without MCP will be like a company without a website in 2010. It won't disappear overnight, but it will show up less and less where its customers are asking.
The website is so they find you. MCP is so they use you.
Want to try it? Add the connector with the URL above and ask your assistant what I can do for your business. If you want the same for your company, get in touch.

Does this sound like a process of yours?
I write this from real projects. If something here resonates, tell me about it on a 30-minute call.
